Isn't it a bit late to be asking the qn when you have already bought the lens? Don't worry what others think of it. Just use it and if it is good for you...it's good. Why give a **** of what others think? This obsession with oneupmanship on this forum is crazy. No point having the latest and greatest, trinity crap if your photos look like shite. |

this lens is great for its price.... but there's quite a lot of reviews that said the sigma version of the same lens is sharper....
since you got the lens liao, just go out and shoot more.... enjoy your pics and save money for upgrade.... like the 70-200mm VR..... hee hee ![]()

have got the tamron AF 28-300mm F/3.5-6.3 XR Di LD recently for bout 500+.. sharpness is good, but however AF out of focus % is high compared to nikon 80-200. and focusing for tamron AF 28-300mm F/3.5-6.3 XR Di LD is much slower.. quite satisfied with it for its price. nice to have for economical and leisure stationary photography which u can take a little more time..

cool man ! yah ...got an event to attend to on the 15th dec...so i'm excited to whoop out the tamron for a break-in session. the zooming is pretty good with the 70-300, however it's not quite as fast as i expected. but i can compensate with good quality shots....so we'll see ...thanks man
