I am new to my F80. There have been occasions when I have pressed on the shutter button but that did not trigger the camera to shoot. I was using the usual single-frame shooting mode. On those occasions, the f-stop and shutter speed when I half-press appear to be within the operational range of the camera.
Can I know if there are any circumstances in which this will occur as part of normal function, for example, camera cannot focus and therefore refuses to shoot or you can select an f-stop but actually camera cannot allow it to be used? Sorry for asking such basic questions, I'm still trying to understand the camera. Otherwise, I can say that there is a problem with the camera? Thanks. |

Change batteries and try, make sure your glass aperture ring is at it's minimum and also make sure your AF is locked on before triggering.

It doesn't really help to test one shot - it worked. I have to test a roll, since it is sporadic. I was using Aperture-priority mode. Anyway, you seem to be saying that if I have done the above, something must be wrong for it to happen. I will use a new set of batteries and watch for it. Thanks! ![]() |
