Anyone has the experience of a dead LCD screen? What to expect when you send it to Canon Service Center? Mine died today all of a sudden!
Good thing it is still under warranty! |

ouch that is painful... how long were you using it/how intensively for this to happen? anything out of the usual before it died... symptoms? i'm a bit concerned for my own now...

Has never been dropped, knocked or wet...yet it happend. This 20D is not used for heavy commercial shoot...just a hobbyist camera, sigh!!! No Symptoms or signs that is going to fail. Then again....mine failed doesn't mean yours will. Anyone else has this experience to share? |

eletronic stuffs always fails without warning, there's nothing to be upset or worry about, abit troublesome though.. they'll fix it in a matter of few days and you recieve a LCD as good as new..

It's unfortunate, but thankfully you're still covered by warranty. With mass production comes issues like this. Lemons are occasionally released from the factory. I've had the same issue with three things so far, all under warranty:
- laptop hard drive - broadband router - car battery (yes...even this) Hope they'll get it fixed for you on Monday. |

Got my 20D last Wednesday....they replace the Circuit Board which causes the LCD failure.
If not for warranty...i'll be S$160 poorer :P |
