Hi All,
I have an F80 which has 2 dots in the viewfinder. Sent it to Nikon and they say that it is stains in the prism. To make the dots disappear would require changing the prism which costs $95. Does any of you have the same prob and how u fix it or u simply live with it??? Any other means of removing the stains??? Many thanks................. |

Live with it unless you have the moolah to spend.

Just do it, pay $95 and get the prism change so that you can see a clear VF and take better pics. $95 for a good view is worth it. DO IT DO IT DO IT!!!

ouch, I faced same before on my FE2.
not two dots, two lines at top of prism and in centre of screen. I changed the prism. Got some one to do it. $120. Happy with the result. My worry is not the $120. (just go KTV less often, lah) My worry is no stock of parts, no more spare prism. Run out of spare parts stock happens often with auto cameras and they say, sorry no more of this circuit board spares. Last edited by ricohflex; 9th December 2005 at 12:22 PM. |
