Hi all,
has anyone bought the Fuji S304 / 3800 or had any experience with it? It looks like a fantastic beginner's PnS + some extra manual features. Also, it comes with a Lens adapter included to attach 55mm UV/Polarisers, etc. I was thinking of getting it. And I see that the ISO rating is only 100. Will this camera perform poorly in low lighting? It lists at $849, I think AP/CP should be selling it at $700+ ? Thanks all. |

I owned a S304. Its an excellent PnS cam. If you want more control ... dun buy it. Some sample pics. www.pbase.com/rsongyl/ Most of the pics are not edited except the motor show segment. cheers specs |

yup.. ISO 100 only. Basically a point and shoot cam. Low light a bit tricky lor.
Gotta go close to your subjects to get details. And flash a bit weak. No external flash. specs |

Is there a lens cap problem, and what is the point at which dark shots come out really grainy? Does ISO100 it mean that it's totally unusable in an unlit room at night (light from adjacent rooms only)?
I've been thinking of getting this camera for the 6x zoom in such a compact body. |

I think the the picture becomes grainy when you are too far away from the subject in indoor shots. Coz the flash not powerful enuff.
Lens cap ... er.. comes off easily. Get the leather cover if you can. i simple chuck it into my back pack. Agree that it takes good day shots. Have you visited my photo album yet?? You can see for yourself. www.pbase.com/rsongyl/ But the 6 X zoom ease alot of my movement. Hope it helps. specs |

oh yeah... noticed that it does not have manual focus mode... that leaves it very much for point and shoot...
![]() the 6x is really delicious though... |
