    BRISBANE
    - Mt Coot-tha... and the Summit Restaurant on top
    - South Bank is a must. Go on the weekends for the market.
    - Eagle Street Pier. Also got market on the weekends.
    - Indooroopilly Shopping Centre. Very very long shopping centre.
    - Fortitude Valley (Chinatown)
    - Uncle Sam's restaurant in the suburbs east of Fortitude Valley. Very nice Malaysian boss.
    - Milton Street for the Hot Chocolate at night.
    - Kangaroo Point lookout (<- great view of the river and the city centre)
    - Botanical Gardens
    - Logan Shopping Centre.
    - Harbourtown on the way to Gold Coast <- lots of reject shops. Branded goods going cheap. Lots of restaurants too.

    GOLD COAST
    - Surfers Paradise
    - Coolangatta
    - Tweed Heads
    - Pacific Fair Shopping Centre
    - Dreamworld
    - Movieworld
    - Seaworld
    - And most definitely Noosa Heads <-- MUST GO!!!

    SUNSHINE COAST
    - Deer Sanctuary
    - Macadamia NutWorks
    - Honey Bee
    - Ginger Factory
    - Big Pineapple

If you are able to, drive south to Byron Bay to see the lighthouse and Australia's easternmost point. It's 3 hours drive from Gold Coast.

All these off the top of my head, so apologies for any inaccuracies. :P

Oh, Noosa on the way to Sunshine Coast ah? I thought Gold Coast. Must've confused it with Tweed Heads.

Oh, ya, along Charlotte St, there's a old antiquated book shop. If you love books, you can browse in there for a day or two. Serious!! They have three branches in the vicinity so go crazy! They sell second hand books on ANY subject you can think of...

    BRISBANE
    - Mt Coot-tha... and the Summit Restaurant on top
    - South Bank is a must. Go on the weekends for the market.
    - Eagle Street Pier. Also got market on the weekends. I think it's on Friday night and weekends' morning
    - Indooroopilly Shopping Centre. Very very long shopping centre. Can watch movie at the GV there (it's Village cinema)
    - Fortitude Valley (Chinatown)
    - Uncle Sam's restaurant in the suburbs east of Fortitude Valley. Very nice Malaysian boss.

    - Queen Street Mall - check out the arcades in the old bldgs.
    - I think's there's a outlet place called Stone's corner just outside brisbane, 20-50% normal price.
    - Try the CityCat down the river, can stop at University of Queensland and marvel at some of the old sandstone building (esp Great Hall)

    - Dreamworld
    - Movieworld
    - Seaworld

    - Conrad Casino
    - From Brisbane to Gold Coast, i suggest you go to Mt Tambourine for some sightseeing, look at waterfalls, paraglide if you dare
    - Sanctuary Cover - Something like what Singapore is going to do with Sentosa cove. You can go there during weekday lunch time for some of the best and cheapest seafood.

    SUNSHINE COAST
    - Deer Sanctuary
    - Macadamia NutWorks
    - Honey Bee
    - Ginger Factory
    - Big Pineapple

Still deciding whether to go over in Feb next year when my bro returns for his studies there...he has accomodation there and I tot I should make full use of it....not that keen on Gold Coast actually but was kinda captivated by Bryon Bay when I saw his pics. Think Mount Cootha also not bad with its night views of Brisbane city.

Now waiting for SQ or QANTAS to have the airfare promo again.....usually they have it around $400+......plus taxes should be aroun $700......thinking of renting a car for 4 days for a 5 or 6 day trip and drive around and also down to Gold Coast just to see how it really looks like.....not keen on the theme parks too....guess I am really more of a nature and scenery person.....

Aiyoh ask last week liao......she cannot go...... .......which kinda takes away 80% of my intention to go.....might still go though depending on how much 's left in the bank in Feb.......but is there really much to shoot in Brisbane and Gold Coast besides the more scenic spots mentioned like bryon Bay? I did see my bro shoot some scenes of their parks in Spring where people were playing sports and must admit it looks kinda good.....

Is 1K enough with 4 days car rental plus air tickets? Accomodation and meals not included as will be staying with my bro.....think I may just spend one night in the car at Gold Coast just to catch the sunrise the next day.
