Never use chrome setting for yellow objects or portrait, it turns out nasty

Not agree, not even close to Velvia or any other chrome at all It is simply unproportionaly over saturated.

Well, I really wish Fuji will successfully immitate their velvia I like the deep saturated colour of chrome, not this 'ah Beng' 'striking' 'over-saturated' colours Well, it is still ok for blue and green, but terrible for yellow and red.

As this is subject to firmware modification, I think they actually can make the chrome mode looks better

As for standard mode, I really like the colour, it is just perfect for me. For outdoor noon time, try exp -2/3, white balance FINE (Sunny day) @ ISO 80. The colours are just lovely

For velvia reproduction on PS, just use the scripts I guess. Then again, nothing like the real thing.

You are right, nothing like the real thing

Anyway, do you mind to share the action / script for Velvia reproduction in PS?

Cool! But unfortunately not for CS2, only CS

Actually I just want to know the basic idea people use to imitate Velvia, then try to build my own action

I agree that the chrome settings are a bit too over saturated. I only used standard after trying chrome once. But under certain conditions chrome will give you wonderful pics.

it's "anti-blur" is rely on its good quality ccd, high iso value.
it doesnt have any "anti movement mechanism" like AS, IS, VR, OIS, etc.
so, you still need to hold very steadily for a short peroid of time during exposal
