just want to share some of my pic taken during a dance performance show in JB yesterday .
Using D70s+tamron 90mm F2.8 lens for the whole show , the noise of my pic is slightly high use to iso 1600

thanks , this is my 1st try on dance performance show, shoot 170+ photo but only can get less than 20 photo in sharp .

nice shots,it ain't easy to shoot this type of performance.
You still manage to get decent shutter speed.

F2.8 shutter speed is around 20-80 @F2.8 iso1600 .

Actually if you had shot at ISO 100 or 400, it would be much more interesting. The dancers would be in motion, you could pan to follow them, there might be swirling images, light and form, interspersed with moments of relative calm, when the dancers pause momentarily. As it is now, all the pictures show the dancers frozen in every frame, kind of boring after a while.

Sharpness is only one attribute of a picture. Sometimes it's not necessary for a picture to be sharp, motion can be prized quite highly too.

All pic taken at JB "zhong hua gong hui"中华工会 , actually its the rehearsal of the show , we were invited by the organiser and shoot the photo for them .
