I am CERTAINTLY not that kind, haha, I am happy if you can pay me thats all. I have took part in various voluntarily events and work for the sake of charity + exploited by family friend who operates a designing house, which by the way, pay me so less than I was left like $20 after the bus and meal.

Anyway, I have no working experience, apart from the exploited one and the freelance job. So I am so much a newbie.

I think I am with you now, I just made around 2 calls to 2 companies and this is what I am told.

They don't want students, they prefer experienced workers and furthermore, is willing to work overtime without extra pay.

Any of you had such problems when you left school after 'O' levels (that is, during December to March period)?

I am working as freelance graphic designer though, and looking to work part-time, but after hearing those comments from my friends, I am getting cold-feet.
January to March you don't have to attend school? (ie JC)

Nowadays more and more people want easy cushy jobs and good pay. You try give tuition? Easy work according to some friends. A former schoolmate is now going into open tuition centre.

Woot? Actually (as mentioned in the previous post) I am willing do any sort of labour chore as long as its within my capability, and I am not demanding good pay, as long as I can feed myself and the transport fees - My concession is ending I supposed.

Heard many say that fast food chains isn't exactly good to get jobs (don't ask me why), but giving tuition reaps more satisfaction and the pay is higher

it's obvious. working conditions are better and yes, the pay is definitely higher.

but the experience you get from working at the former is very different. perhaps this experience is what makes up for the lower pay.

    Yeah, the real service industry.

As for the other outlets, I just tried 3 (3 different fastfood chains) this morning, and 2 said they will call me soon or they will consider after January, the last one says enough of non-perm part-timers. I tried car-washing as well, but they are looking for perm full-timer. So instead, went home and sent an application for a part-time graphic designer job.
