You do know how SLRs work rite? There is a reflex mirror located in front of the sensor and the shutter, which flips up only when an exposure is made, unlike compact digicam where there is no such mirror blocking the sensor. Hence they can have live preview enabled. You can read up more on how (d)SLR works here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Single-lens_reflex_camera

but technically speaking, I regard this as a compromise.
Is dSLR trying too hard to imitate an SLR? Its digital, for God's sake, what's wrong with a live preview as seen by the sensor? ![]() |
