Default Sony PSP - any good deal anywhere or all controlled rpice?

    Hi ppl,

Am thinking of buying a PSP: any one know if there are good deals/bundle around, or are prices controlled by Sony?

    cheers,

For what I know, Sony controls their price. If any retails try to sell below Sony's recommanded price, they risk losing their rights to sell Sony products.
That's why no retails dare to sell u lower.

All locally distributed sets (meaning imported by Sony) will have controlled pricing. Those that offer the best prices are parallel imports. Last I heard from an authorised reseller is that Sony now only allows them to sell packages with 2 games included so as to clear the game stocks. Those titles are usually those Jap and cannot make it ones.

Get imported sets, it's cheaper. But the region code is different. Though the games are not region locked, the movies are. For me, I bought the US set, which is code 1, so that i can watch english movies.

I share your sentiment! Do you know that Sony Singapore brought in the PSP many months after the actual launch worldwide? And they still bring in those orbit Jap games to sell!
