Thread: Konix filters lousy?

    Default Konix filters lousy?

Using a konix linear polariser now. Found out that no matter how i focus (manual or auto) also cannot focus properly with the filter on, especially at high zooms. Wad's wrong? Note that my shutter is 1/500 + OIS mode 2 so shouldn't be due to handshake.

What camera are you using? Modern SLR AF systems can only focus using Circular Polarizer. You cannot use Linear Polarizer.

using fz30. I dun think its the problem of autofocusing. Apparently the pic i posted is taken using manual focus, and there is NO WAY i can focus properly. That is the best i could get.

if i were to change to CPL, what is the standard price (like hoya)? i'm afraid of kena ripped off as shops like AP quoted me 20++ bucks for a UV filter where i could get at around 10.

Pleeeeeease, if you value your time and effort stay away from these brands like konix, marumi, etc. I used to have a konix with my 50mm lens and the pics looked like sh!t. Changed to B+W/Hoya and they are ok now.
