If you are hoping to see spooks....you will be disappointed. Been there twice at night. Went into the compound, don't feel a thing. The main house is sealed off with boards and planks, dun try to tear them down...any patrol car comes and check, u be in deep ****.

The buildings at the back are pretty worn and torn down, juz becareful where u walk. If you plan to walk underneath the building among the beams, do watch your head. Nasty bumps awaiting if you suddenly feel the need to run. Hehe

The area is entirely fenced, building supposedly earmarked for heritage preservation or something.

Don't bother claiming lots of orbs on photos....the place itself is pretty dusty (surrounding dust and pollen from plants, lalang etc), fire off a flash, you can see plenty of dust orbs. Usually at night you get to see curious onlookers driving there for a stop to view or catch some fresh air.

Don't do anything stupid or rash. Don't risk offending 'things' you can't see or kena warn by the matah. (one of my frens once saw someone sitting on the roof as her fren drove past, not sure if it's a real person, since she can see 'those things' )

The main house had been boarded up entirely. The roof's overd by huge metal sheets.

The outhouse isn't gazatted for conservation, and hence left to rot.

Only the main house is conserved.

    Matilda House Conservation Area

    Post any urban legends here.

    'kampong house?'
No, it's a true tropical colonial countryside bungalow

    'Some murder inside'
The last occupant was the original owner, which moved out in the 1970s or 1980s, and I think the house had been sealed up since.
