Bought an F11 from Alan Photo the other day and guess what. Although the box said there was an XD card, there was none inside. When I went back, the guy told me that I was not the first one that had this problem!!! Calling FUJI tomorrow. They better have an explanation.

Normally you will check the comtents before buying the items to ensure all the accessories inside the box is intact.

Read from other F11 user that the 16MB xD card is not included.
anyway, IMHO, a 16MB card isn't very useful. ![]() |

Yes, I bought from AP last Sat, and there also wasn't any trace of the included 16MB xD card.
I thought mine could have been an isolated case. Though the included card isn't of much use, it might play a part when selling the DC. Also, I was given the Type M card, which I wasn't given a choice for the preferred Standard one. Everything just stuffed into the box, pay and go. |

As a consumer you have the responsibility to check and ensure that the items you paid for are all there. You need to play your part too. I don't think AP will want to cheat you for just the 16MB card. It's not worth it. Do ask Fuji about it.

Perhaps I went on a busy day, the shop was so packed. I had other stuffs to carry too. Somehow, the salesperson stuffed the upgraded 512MB memory card in without even letting me know, until I asked where the card is after making the payment. He said he's already placed them in the box, and showed me through the opening, which I could see the 512MB round sticker. Seeing how troublesome it was for him to stuff everything back into the box earlier, I tried to be kind enough not to delay him from serving his next customer and also give room to the already packed shop. I left, hoping to find somewhere I could sit down and check the items. My friend called me, and oh well, with the stuffs in my hand, I thought I better hurry home to put them down and start playing with the DC. I am not pushing the blame. I admit my fault, for perhaps being kind. I don't have a fixed salesperson to serve me, though I have bought some other stuffs from AP before, and so far no problem. |

Most of the camera stores that sell the F11 give a 256MB xD card as well as a leather case (I exchanged my 256MB for a 1GB card with top up). There is no 16MB xD card that comes in the box.

Finally managed to get hold of the salesperson I purchased from.
He said that it's a printing error on Fujifilm's part, which I suppose it's just from the F10 with minor changes. As for the Type M card, they don't have any of the Standard one by Fujifilm. No major issue, so let's start shooting and show your images. |

I know that the 16 Mb XD is no big deal. But when it clearly states on the box that there would be a card, anyone would be rather upset if there wasnt one right! Not blaming AP by the way. Just was confused to how the card was missing! (Since it was not just me I guess Fuji has a packing issue. Must have forgotten to put the card in the box.)

I also agree with "dawgbyte77" on the sales person checking with the customers on the contents. The salesman just opened the box and showed me the camera was there and told me "everything here ah...If anything else just bring back within 7 days". And he just closed the box. And so I did I brought it back to him 2hrs later when I went to BK and checked the stuff and the card was missing.
Good camera though. |

Well I agree with u. But when they say that its included I kinda expect it to be there. Called Fuji though. Twice. And no one got back to me either. Pretty sucky service I would say. Oh well I think those who have bought the F10 should stick with it. Will be selling it at a big loss. Wait next year for a F? 28mm model coming out i think!!

Why do you even bother if it has the 16MB card? It's worthless, secondly if you really mind, just buy one for a few dollars, if you intend to sell the camera that it...

Lets just say when you buy a car from a car dealer. And he say the car comes with parking sensors. And when u get the car it does not! Same theory right! Even though the parking sensor is a small percentage of the car price. I guess I'm just particular about proper business practices.
16MB Card price : F11 Price Parking sensor price : Car Price |

I understand you feel cheated when you realize there is no supplied XD card in it. But since you cant get it back, I guess the best thing to do now is try not to think anymore about it, and be happier. Think of it this way, buddy.
You buy a car that supposedly have a built-in plastic rim covers. But you didnt get them when you collect your car. But you knew you wont be needing those rim covers as you will be changing to bigger tyres and sports rims. So why be upset and make life suck, right? Just enjoy the new car (or camera). I dont use the 16MB XDcard that came with my camera too, but I wouldnt wanna lose neither. So I do understand your situation here. But I do hope you can cheer up. |
