Found: Gaffer tape alternative

Product: OYAMA tape, 1" x 10m. Matt black. Product code: JO-14.

Available at Home-Fix DIY store. $6.50

Note: I've NOT used the gaffer tapes that have been MO'ed here before. I just use bits of this Oyama tape to cover the brand-name of my camera. Not sure if it'll be as useful as a protection layer. Sticks well to plastic parts, leaving no residue (but not sure if it'll be the case after extended use). The tape blends almost perfectly with black plastic body. Does not stick well to metal.

commonly used for fish aquariums as a adhesive background. note that will leave residue after prolonged periods. best stick to gaffer.
