Default Hasselblad Film Backs

Hi,

I've tried searching around this forum as well as on Google for this (silly?) question I have, but sadly with no luck:

What is the difference between the A12 and A24 film backs?

Thanks.

A24 takes 220 film which is twice as long as the normal 120 film.

think sgp only got 120 film version so buying a A24 is quite a waste of money here.

Great, thanks to all for clearing my doubts! Appreciate!

On a side note - if the 220 film is longer than the 120, the number of frames available to be exposed is higher. Is this correct? If so, how many more frames?

220 is twice as long as 120.

I've never felt the need to use 220. MF photography is a little more measured than 135, the 10-16 frames you get from a 120 has always been enough for me.

IMO, better to get another back and you have the option of using another type of film as well.
