Default External Flash Overexposure

Hi experts out there,

I am using 5D with 3600HSD flash. I have experienced the overexposure problem as mentioned by some of you guys and also read the same on dpreview.

Has there being a fix yet? Is this the problem only with 3600 or also with 5600? Thanks.

I have just started using my D5D with a 5600HS and dont seem to have any problems with it. Everything works as it should be.

Did you check your flash settings? Use TTL if not familliar with M.

For using direct flash, no problem. For bounce, some shots were overexposed.

It seems to be a well-known problem as reported by users on dpreview.

The conclusion is nothing can be done until KM released a firmware fix.

I not sure if fellow CSers have the same experience and advise some tips to overcome it.

-EV, or lessen the power of the flash.

U have to work around the problem at the moment... u can go back to KMSC and ask if they can calibrate the flash... or if anything is wrong... otherwise just play with the Flash Exposure Compensation. Smaller f/stops work better also I think.
