Default LCD Preview on D5D and D7D

Bringing my new wife out for a spin with her new flash at Big Boyz Toyz today, I was initially horrified to find that how dark my pictures appear to be on the LCD screen. I initially thought my exposure was all off as I did not have a bounce card or diffuser on my flash.

But upon transferring the photos to my iBook, I had a surprise. Exposure was still off, but not underexposed to the point where its all dark like I'd seen it on my LCD screen.

Anyone of u faced such problems?

For example these 2 photos, shot with my 5D w/3600HS. I'm not sure if its due to the large number of black areas dat caused the histogram to show that the photo is a severely underexposed...

Maybe its me, maybe its my eyes. But somehow after using my 5D, even though my heart tells me, "Aperture priority wun go wrong one." But I look at the preview pix on the LCD screen and the histogram, its telling me something else...

Trust my heart or trust my eyes?
