Didn't see any camera offer leh

look at the Sitex website on the list of exhibitors for this year's show. Seems like there's no Canon/Nikon. Only Sony n Panasonic.

Major camera maker has already announce beginning of this year that they will only participate in selected exhibition and not all in order not to "spoil" market. SITEX is mainly for IT so unlikely they will be there....

The price for the PD70X is $399 for the 80gig version. Is that a good buy?

Think the 40GB one for $299 is good enough. Unless you are shooting RAW with 1DsmkII

Was thinking the PD70X is good as portable storage on a trip 'cos it operates on AA battery, but troublesome when using at home as a backup drive - need battery / power supply. How?

the power supply is provided with the package so you can use it as a portable storage... no problem
