Less than a yr will do la. Ard $2500 SGD only mah. Best for film in the widest range. I skip 70-200mm SSM as it wasn't my kind of tea. Maybe one day but not now. 85mm F1.4 will be my FIRST (after current 35-100) offical lens. Did some home work on it liao. Maybe follow closely will be 50mm F1.4. Hard decision on macro n tele. Last few will be fisheye, 35mm f/1.4 etc... Wide, in between when got $. See five years later whether I could fulfil the wish list or not.

i heard that the 17-35mm f3.5 will collect dust as there is a small small hole right infront of the zoom there, i cant confirm as i cant get a chance to see the len...

Hmm....... Like that har. Must find something to block the hole

Btw, why does the lens will get dirt inside esp when we cannot open it up so easy? Maybe send my 35-105 for service after I got a wide lens. I like to pamper my belonging one, don't know why, haha!

I saw screws there but it seem to be sealed up. Dare not to open up myself. Weak in those things.

if the picture output remains perfectly normal, i think u better dont send them in for servicing.

It can never be 100% pin point sharp when a lens is send for servicing..
