Saw in Weekend Today.

Dynax 5D with bag, tripod and 1GB CF card plus 3 YEARS extended waranty for $1488. In addition, you have the option of buying a 75-300mm lens for $99 only!!

I wonder if there will be better offers at SITEX?!?!

Not sure, just wait for Sitex and compare the price and goodies bundle.

Sorry if OT a bit.

Understand from this forum the 75 to 300mm is a decent lens, so for normal walkaround, need to lug two lens!

The D5D kit can also be had for about $1250.

If I am also considering a reasonable walk-around lens (in the region of 28mm to 300mm?), is it a better idea to go for this single-len package kit and use the difference of about $300 to save up for a decent lens.

the package offer at Commex 2005 was also around this price but two pieces of 1G card instead of one piece, plus original minolta protective screen plastic.

Total price about $1448.
