Default Lines and a crescent moon

My first try at abstract.
Shot these while waiting for a performance to start at the Esplanade's outdoor theatre.
Please feel free to comment, especially on composition.

These are pretty interesting. Surprised no one commented.

1st shot probably looks better in portrait. Nice lines but not strong enough to make it the subject. Just bump up the contrast slightly. 2nd shot is better, bump up highlights to make it more punchy. Lines are ok 'cos they're roughly uniform in size. Nice symmetry in having subjects in opposite corners.

Thanks for the comments, foxtwo.
Really appreciate it.

The two pictures were intentionally underexposed to give the sky a deeper blue because the sky in the originals looked really plain.
And also to get a more silhoutted look for the post holding the cables, and the roof.
Still got lots more to learn to make the subjects really stand out.
