Default Close up filter

I'm thinking of buying one to shoot my fish, but I have 2 different sizes lens 49mm and 55mm. I need advice if the 49mm lens step up to 55mm to attach the filter will it be as good or I should invest in 2 set?

Dont buy , waste money... when u put the close up filter infront of yr lens, it is very hard to stay focus . try saving up to get a marco lens.

Unless your fish move around slowly, I think it will be very, very difficult to focus with diopter filters.
I have a 72mm Hoya +4 and the dof is really shallow.

Strongly agree with GENO. Even a normal lens is darn hard to get those 'Gold Fish' to stay-put and say cheese. With the Close-up filter, you gonna cry...

Get a 50mm or 100mm.

last time i was shooting my goldfish( fat & slow somemore with only left right turning), i think its was laughing at me for trying to stay focus on him!!
