    Default Compactdrive PD7x

Will be asking a friend to help me buy compactdrive PD7X.
Was researching and found a few complaints about them.
Any users here experience any problem using them? How is it compare to other portable like digimate?

the pd7x is discontinued. now is PD70x. faster transfer rate and longer battery life. complaints like what? want to elaborate? i've been using it for like 5 months or so and it has never failed me. plug in, wait 1 min and plug out. ready to shoot again!
heard of other brands and they also worked the same i guess.

Knew that it has been discontinued. Can still find some old stock of it.

    Compliants like
    1. No voltage regualtor for hard disk. Read that battery different in voltage may cause problem.
    2. Weak plastic hinge for battery compartment
    3. No proper shutdown for hard disk, result in hard disk unload(Not really sure what does this mean but read that will damage hard disk in long run)
    4. Deleting files on the drive will not free up space. Need to format it.

Number 1 and 3 look fatal to me.
