Has anyone done a comparison among the 3 printers on black and white printing? Read a review once posted by a kind person on CS b4... Seems like Epson and HP are better than Canon on this. Can someone verify this?
I think HP uses 3 different types of black ink for more shades of grey and black?? I've only seen once the black and white quality of an HP b/w print and I was impressed. Very nice overall tonality. Haven't seen the ones from Epson and Canon though.Hope someone will be kind enuff to share some thots and experience here. Thanks! |

I found this link at Steve's digicam. Look at his conclusions for B&Ws.
http://www.steves-digicams.com/2005_...p8750_pg3.html Think HP and Epson are comparable with Epson about double (?) the price. YMMV. ![]()

I finally found the link that was posted much earlier in this forum by Watcher: http://www.tomshardware.com/consumer...229/index.html Ok... I'm convinced the HP one beats all the Canon PIXMA models in terms of black n white. HP colors should be as good as the Canon's also. Maybe the only downside is the HP one costs more per printing n is slower? But for those who can take that, go for the HP one. |
