Default Nobody Cares About Your Photography

    Nobody cares about your photography?

It is quite truth if your intention of photography is just to please others.

so who you are shooting for? did you ever ask yourself this question?

anyway, I guess many people won't ask this type question or think so much about this. just snap snap snap.

If you are shooting for a client, for public usage, your work matters, often a lot.

If you are shooting for yourself, nobody gives a sheet. People may humor you or click like, just to be courteous, but most of the time people doesn't care about your random photos.

If you are doing it for money, then of course the customer is king and what he thinks of your work matters, and you need to work and sell hard.

Otherwise, don't be a kid yearning and looking for others' praises and worry about what they say. Aim instead for self-actualization, or what we say here: hua hee tio ho.

I spoke once to a professional artist (painter). He told me that it is a business, and selling is very important. He also said that there are many who sell themselves much better than the work they actually produce.

    yes,
shooting for money and shooting for own self is totally different.

however, whether photography on a personal level or for commercial, it is still an expression of oneself.

if we can't see the photographer in his works, it is just a snap shot.

It tends to provide peace for me so not much bother if anyone cares or not...if it is noticed than it is just a bit more happiness. I have no illusions about it all at any rate...
