I don't want to tell it here, because I don't wan't everyone abusing it (which would likely result in tighter restrictions). But there are fairly obvious methods which are well documented on the net, from primitive to advanced. During the invasion of Iraq, even primitive methods were enough to circumvent American censorship of news outlets like Al Jazeera.

There are ways to make China's firewall attempts look like clumsy schoolboy antics too.

Hang? I don't think so. As long as it doesn't cause one's life, I don't think it's that harsh.

Most probably jailed, cannot use computer for 5 years and get fined.....just like the show Hackers.

It's only a copyright infringment act.....so you must follow by the law that was pass.

    Extract from http://www.asiaone.com/st/st_20051116_353015.html

"The music industry's crackdown is aimed at people who put music out on the Internet, uploading files via peer-to-peer software and allowing others to download them."

Thus , it's really does not matter which software you use. This time round they target at those peer-to-peer software. Maybe next time they target on those sending through email , ftp , hosting on website , etc .....

when they target music, stop downloading music lor. then when they target on videos, then stop downloading videos lor. or if you want to exchange content with your friends, setup a VPN? if not exchange CDs/DVDs.
