Default How to get blue hue?

    Hi all,

Need your advises, how do i get a deeper blue in the skies when taking landscape without making the buildings, people and the whole picture blue?

i saw from some pamplets on filters that you can achieve that using a Hoya Blue intensifyer filter. But that filter makes my whole picture blue.... how to overcome this? Any recommendations?

It is just a 58mm filter and the name is called Blue intensifier. Its brand is Hoya.

It is said to intensify the blue region of the spectrum without adversely affecting other colors... apparently all turned bluish.

Is CP circular polariser? what is the diff between this and the above?

This photo was taken with a circular polarizer (CP) filter, is it blue enough?

Do note that there's only so much a CP can do. Most of the days in Sg, the skies aren't that blue as we have a lot of cloud cover.
This pic was taken in Korea and the sky is already so blue w/o using a CP.

Also do read up more abt the optimum usage of a CP. The sun is suppose to be at 90 degrees to the lens for maximum polarisation.

You can also post process using Photoshop CS2. Under the adjustment layer, you can find many simulated filters... Use Deep Blue or Blue filter.

I guess what philliptan meant is to highlight the sky using the magic wand, create adjustment layer for the sky and perform your blue filtering. Right?
