Default pixma chromaplus ink? pigment?

hi,

the new range of canon printer claims that the photo can last for 100 years cos of the chroma plus ink. are these pigment ink like those use in epson or still inkjet? thanks for the advise

No, they are still dye inks. The "100 years" is if you store them in albums in the dark. Actual longevity if you put behind glass is about 30 years, not significantly different from the older BCI-6 inks (27 years). Read the details from Canon's own site thoroughly.

No. Only pigment inks with appropriate paper will last much longer...
