Anyone uses Tokina AF 193 lens?

How does this lens compare with the Minolta 17-35mm F2.8-4?

Personal experience with AF 193 is that images tend to be dark indoors... Seemed like looking through tinted lens instead of clear glass...is it my imagination?

Pls advise!

I am guessing that you have a filter on your lens.
If so, try without the filter.
That tint may have been caused by the filter.

It might be the smaller aperture of the lens?

Have tried with and w/o the filter (HOYA 77mm HMC) and result in same colour quality of the pictures. Seller mentioned about colour being different from Minolta lenses... could this be what he meant?

btw, read the many reviews of this lens... more positive than I had expected...

Just that... ... how come images seem dark?

Any1 used/using this lens care to comment?

compared with kit lens, this should be brighter since F3.5...but, kit lens brighter (it seemed to me).
