    Talking Van owners report in

I know there are numbers of CSer who drive vans to transport their camera stuff or for personal use.

Let's have a poll to see which is the most popular choice among CSer here.

Personally I am eyeing at Opel Combo, Citroen Berlingo & Fiat Doblo

Hope to hear more feedback here (since others car forums that I know of are rather quiet)

opel combo is a good choice, dude. very torquey with its turbocharged engine, can outrun some 2L cars from standtil

but be a bit mindful of some issues like squeaking/creaking of suspensions, as reported in EVC forums where triangle auto is not able to fix it....

I like VW at first too, but read from other forums that the maintenance cost is high

Any of you guys own a Renault Kangoo? The current model 1.5 turbocharge deisel? How does it fair against the rest of the players in this group? Any comments on the current Renault Kangoo?

I have seen some owners installing rear seats at the back of the van. How much does it cost to install those seats?

I wouldn't think of Mercs Vito . Renault vans are good. They have a new Renault kangeroo.

That one is too big for me, I am looking for a smaller models

But read from other forums that some Kangoo can be quite problematic after a few years

may be that's why there are so many used kangoo in the 2nd hand market

    Interesting topic here.

I am driving an Opel Combo for almost 2 years liao. Good fuel economy and affordable maintainance. Never given me any pull-handbrake problem. The only issue is the noisy rear brakes.

I did use my van to carry my bag, monopod & tripod (and a few clubsnapers) around.

Only peeve is that the slide doors does not have windows (not installed yet). Or I can use it to point my camera out to take photos of birds at the opposite stretch of road along Tenga Airbase. The white birds (crane ?) got freighted, the moment they see a human.

For more info & discussion on rides, feel free to visit EuroVan Club at

    http://www.eurovanclub.com/forums/index.php

2 members there are professional photographers, plus a few tigger happy shutterbugs like me in there. C U soon.

Yes, that is the first few 2 batches. Subsequent is fine. The model right now is with a 'T'.

Traffic is spacious and can put many things.

    Hey Wai

Hop over to the Eurovan club's gathering at Rex on Friday night. Usually the group is there at 9pm or so. You can see the variety of (van) models there and get to talk to the owners.
Should help you get a better opinion of your selection.

You need an intro to the group, I can arrange for you.

Me, bz preparing for exams hence may not turn up.
