I have been considering buying a Tamron SP AF28-105 f2.8 lens.
Then I came across this article in dpreview: http://forums.dpreview.com/forums/re...ssage=12974443 Didn't know KM had a 28-75mm lens. Is KM releasing more new lenses? Can anyone advise how does the Tamron compare with KM around that range? |

i dun have the G version.... i have the 28-75 D... apparently from ppl who have both... the 28-75 is pretty darn close to the G version
so its indeed a good deal value wise my only G lense is the 80-200 oh ya the 28-75 D is supposed to be faster focusing than the G also yay! |

I feel Tamron 28-105 f2.8 is sharp enough for most application, though I don't have any experience with 28-75 2.8 However, compare it with the Minolta 28-70 f2.8 G, it is slightly softer, but it is cheaper, faster... I will use it for most occasion including wedding, no problem. Fill flash will always be better if you are in dark area such as motor show. Hart |

If you have $$....go for the KM 28-75(D)...... Great versatile lens....though not that wide...but its a good optics that have sharpness that is uniform throughouth the zoom... rhds. sulhan |
