Default Mamiya 645 Pro, Pro TL Power Grip (winder)

Are there any local shops that have this power grip for sale? I've checked a few second-hand shops and haven't had any luck. I'd rather buy locally than order from overseas.

Thanks,
-steve

Thanks Sabahan. When I bought the kit from CP a few months ago, I asked for a winder, and they said that they don't sell it separately anymore, only as part of the more expensive kit that also has the AE prism. Argh. It doesn't seem like it should be this tough to find.

Thanks for the reply.

I dont think that is right. The power winder is sold saparately. Perhaps you should kick up a fuss about it.

I bought mine saparate, but sometime ago.

I agree. It sounds weird. You bought the Mamiya set from CP. It's improbable that they'd turn you down if you want to purchase an accessory that goes with it that's still in production.

CP is not just the retail shop selling Mamiya. It is the Singapore agent for Mamiya. Funny!

ordering from overseas isnt as difficult as it sounds, if you buy from a reputable place.

if ordering from the US, SingPost has the vPost service which helps you to receive the item and re-ships it to you.

Thanks for all the comments about the grip. I completely agree, it doesn't make sense to me either. There seems to be no reason to turn down a $400+ sale for an accessory. At the time I was buying the "cheaper" of the two 645 sets, I think they may have been using it as a sales play to get me to buy the more expensive set that included the grip and metered prism. I'll go back and see if I can buy the grip some time this week.

Concerning the vPost comments, we've used that several times and have been very very satisfied with their shipping prices and timeliness.

*Ricohflex - all you do is give the US retailer you're buying from the vPost address as the shipping address (I believe it's in Compton, CA). As far as the retailer is concerned that's the final destination of the package. vPost will then contact you and forward on the parcel to you in S'pore. Great service.
