Manfrotto Table Top Tripod Kit 3007

Hi bro here. Currently was looking at a Manfrotto Table Top Tripod Kit 3007 w/482 Ball Head and 3007. My purpose of buying this tripod is hoping that it can replace the normal tripod which is heavy to carry along for overseas trip. Is it stable enough to hold a Canon EOS 350D with lens and can the ball head rotate various different angle for taking shots. And may i know wat is the 3007 used for ? Thanks.
