does that mean CAM1000 not as "sophisticated" as CAM1300?
also, how come only 1 cross sensor? |

CAM900 = 1 cross, 4 regular.
CAM1000 = 1 cross, 10 regular, can convert to 7 point wide sensor. CAM1300 = 5 cross. CAM2000 = 9 cross, 2 regular. That's is why it is between CAM900 and CAM1300 instead of between CAM1300 and CAM2000 eventhough it has more AF points. Cross sensors are more sensitive than vertical or horizontal sensors because it combines both directions into one and can get AF lock quicker. The darkness at which the cross sensor can operate is the same as the regular sensor, but of course the regular sensor will hunt because it can only rely on one direction instead of 2. Can someone with a D50/D70/F80 check the center AF point of CAM900 if it is as fast as the CAM1300 or CAM2000 in the D1 and D2 series? I speculate that the cross sensor in the CAM1000 should be as fast as in CAM1300 and CAM2000, but the other 10 sensors will be as fast as CAM900....... |

![]() What happen when you are on tracking mode? Does that mean only the sensor and AFS motor is working and the camera motor is idling? ![]() Think about it. ![]() Last edited by scanner; 8th November 2005 at 05:50 PM. |
