simply amazing ASA1600 shots. will give S3 a run for high ASA shooting. as for colours and DR, might be a different case altogether. wonder how they compare?

I have no problems with noise, esp good noise. D70 is actually not too objectionable, one gotta print it out to really judge man, different labs/printer/paper react differently. I guess and hope they have an option in the D200 to change the NR setting. Last edited by 2100; 4th November 2005 at 01:08 PM. |

If it is going to be like D2x, then yes... you will have a option to change the NR setting.

Looks pretty good, I'll have to assume that NR is on due to total lack of chrominance noise even in shadows(contrary to the poster's comment). Shows that the camera is well capable of instantly producing good quality jpegs at high isos. Very useful if you need to submit pics immediately after shooting.

I think almost ALL Digital camera has NR by default. It is just to what degree that the NR is applied and whether the algorithm of the NR is good. Best is to allow user to vary the degree of NR. But in order to perform the NR so quick, the NR are implemented in hardware in Digital camera. A bit more difficult to have flexible NR.
