PS wise: eyes must be sharp after any special effect. I dun think your soft effect has been correctly done Seems entire frame is soft?

Composition wise: crop tighter (I mean when you shoot), dun need to place your subject at the dead center. For example, the space behind the first kid can be removed so the kid had more spece to look at. And so as the 2nd one. btw, for 2nd one shooting from eye level could be better, IMO.

Have fun

Heh, I'm getting confused, there we have one school who says that sharpening eye looks fake, another says need sharpening

For the second shot, a little difficult to shoot from eye level, esp with the monitor speakers on stage getting in the way...not to mention those kids sitting around the stage's platform.

But thanks for the detailed comments, they do help alot (btw I took some of your tips on shooting people along the streets, works quite well)
