I seriously don't know what you're trying to say. Maybe first thing, you can cut the SMS short forms and type in proper sentences.

maybe if you could tell us more about your photographic experience. do you have a digital camera? do you use its manual functions a lot? if you give more details, i am sure the pro's out here will be very helpful

let me be the mind reader....

1) U are new photographer
2) U wonder if D50 got any 'bugs'
3) U want cheap & good price

Nikon, Canon, Minolta, makers of quality SLR, DSLR & lenses rarely screw up so badly (to my best knowledge, NEVER) that every single damn camera from a certain shipping batch have to be recalled for technical faults.

They have to answer to the consumers. They have to answer to the working professionals in the photography line. Each of them their valuable customers. If u keep hanging those words like, "Aiyah, I scared got bug. Wait until new version come out den buy, maybe less bugs." I can tell u something.... "HAPPY WAITING" since there will DEFINITELY be 'bugs' in each camera which is not caused by failure of certain hardware by more of limitations & bugs in the software.

And if u're an upgrade nuts who thinks that a firmware upgrade = good. Sorry to tell u that camera manufacturers dun release firmware upgrades unless they see a need to. So, if u are expecting a firmware upgrade once every 3mths for no rhyme or reason, den I think the manufacturers will disappoint u big time. Some of us here prolly have DSLRs with firmware version 1.0 or 1.1 for the past 2 or 3yrs.

Next I'm not sure what u mean by 'new photographer' since there are lotsa ppl here who fall into this category (myself included). Perhaps u can spend a little time telling us ur experience before some gurus can advise u what to do & buy.

And if u're thinking that a SLR system is a one-off investment. Sorry to disappoint u again.
- Average price of a dirt cheap lens is approximately $300.
- The price of a top end lens can hit as high as $20K.
- Price of SLRs can range between $1.3K to $15K.

And lastly... Holding a DSLR is NOT equal to a Professional Photographer. I'm not sure if I'm down on my luck or what, but I seem to keep seeing ppl holding DSLRs in the streets acting like the King & the mode switched to The Green Box.

Be afraid.... be very afraid....

Totally agree. Perhaps should spend some time practising how to write properly too. Are you "new" in english too? Or I guess too much use of phone sms to know when to write properly...

I own a D50. There's also a list of D50 owner on the forum here. Perhaps you could help me to help you by letting us know what you would like to know and what you would like to use the camera for?

I have been using the D50 for a few months, and does not have any problem with it. It suits my use, but I won't know whether it suits you though.

The Nikon D50 is, like any DSLR/SLR, a Single lens reflex camera body with interchangeable lenses. The photographer uses the camera as a tool to capture photographic images.
