Reading the hands on preview, couldn't find any wireless remote trigger, the only reference of a remote trigger is an MC-36 whatever that is...

I like the wireless trigger feature used it alot on D70, especially taking family shots with me included in the frame, without it would mean a timer, don't like setting the timer, always will someone not ready or looking at something, eyes closed etc...

Are there any other wireless alternatives besides a wired cord and timer?

U need ML-3 to restore wireless function into the D200.

I think you mis-read, it's MC-35, it is the GPS 10pin cable.

Kudos to Nikon. The D200 is a very very impressive camera, a very worthy upgrade from D100, D70 alike. Features are amazing, not to mention being extremely value-for-money (US RRP). Let's hope Nikon ups its ISO's performance next, and it will make very 'complete' cameras indeed.

From this url link it shows up as MC-36 a new replacement of MC-20. I didn't see any reference to Wireless remote, if it is a given that ML-3 can be used, it would be most ideal for me.

But looking at the LCD Panel, there didn't seem to have an icon to show a ML-3 symbol, not sure if that means no support for wireless remote trigger.

Oh my bad, that means the MC-20 is being replaced by this newer version then.

It doesn't replace, it extends the capabilities of remote controlling.
