Looking at the specs, I don't think it's EX. I think it's cheap!!

D100 was released at S$3,888!

1300 pounds is more like S$3900. However, cameras are normally a third to 25% cheaper in Singapore compared to UK so I expect price will be nearer S$3000 or slightly more.

Overall, the specs look great for that kind of money

Yep, the specs are definitely worth every cent of it.

Now, should I or shouldn't I?

SG prices usually closer to US prices... It is going for US$1699.99. At US$ 1 = S$1.7, that comes only to S$2890, so I vote for S$2888

Yes...as you have said....the 20D is 15 months old already

based on the trend, it is going to be replaced soon, with better spec, more features and cheaper price

let's see which will be more value for money end of the day

Any better specs and it will be nearer to a 1D MKIIN, then I see the 1D MKIIN how to sell

won't this affect the current D2X users? with such a specs there's a high possibility they might sell away and get 2 D200 instead??

Probably the only 2 things which will hold them back could be the HSC and the Cam 2000.

Nope, I'm still sold on owning a D2X than 2 D200 bodies.

- Focusing speed
- Image quality
- Image dynamic range

Are also part of the D2X.

Nobody everybody needs it, but you're right, there are people who will still buy, I think Canon will be shifting everything FF soon, else they have nothing to upgrade to anymore

I dunno yet.. but wouldn't imagine quality be very close although D2X uses CMOS sensor and D200 uses improved CCD sensor?

But surely enuf the price of D2X will fall by quite abit with the launch of D200. Hopefully this doesn't affect much..
