I've never owned an auto SLR before. Been using my FM2 and my Lomo LCA. Now I'm thinking of getting a auto SLR body.
Nikon is currently having a promotion with the F80 which I have learnt from reading some past threads that it's not really that such a good deal and getting it seperately will somewhat be cheaper. I've also learnt that the F90x cost around the same as a brand new F80 body on the 2nd hand market. So now i'm basically torn between getting a brand new F80 or a F90 used. What say you guys? Based on ur preference n luck....
No experience with both cams but if u dun mind used items, and u trust the seller .........y not get the higher end one.... However, if ur interest is in getting a new one n want a peace of mind...of cos personally it would be safer to get a brand new one with local warranty. Maybe try to get from someone u know or check carefully when dealing... ![]() |

i would choose the F80S.. u can even record exposure details on the film itself, in between the frames.

You gotta consider that F90X can't use D lens or G lens, there's no 'forward' compatibility. That pretty limits your choices of lens to older lens, but not the newer ones that is D or G. Not saying that old lens isn't good, but you'd be cut off from newer expansions of the product lineup, and that may make your investment less worthwhile
