Default Help needed in Plustek Opticfilm 7200

Hi, just got my negative/slide scanner. Realise that the scans i get are terrible, so bad that it's not worth getting it PS at all. Is there anyone who can point me to the right way of using this? I've read the online manual and videos but the scans are downright horrid. Thanks in advance.

i'm not sure if i'm right. I did the negative selection thing. If i do a scan of say low res .......the colors turned out yellowish as though it's from old pics, but if i do a high res scan, it's awfully slow, the results are much better.
