Default A couple of Kites

Weather has been getting less favourable over the last few days. I would like to share a couple of Black-Shouldered Kite, BSK, (also known as Black-Winged Kite) shots taken recently. I hope the comparison shots of adult and juvenile will come in useful for fellow CSers.

Adult getting ready to have breakfast

Juvenile keeping an eye on me

Thanks neutrinol. Adult shot was taken in the morning and that of the juvenile in the evening. The Black Kite is usualy found in secondary forest, mangrove, scrub and open country in Northern, Eastern and Western Singapore.

Great to meet up with you, SK, Ashley, CP, Brett - hope I got all of you correctly - so nice to put faces to names! I am now in China and am having difficulty seeing images and posting them. I am not sure if this is a function of their censorship Anyway, with that beautiful new toy these BSK's must be great!

Cheers, KC

Hi KC,

Nice meeting you that day too. That last person should be Fred and not Brett

KC I am glad I managed to bump into you on Saturday. It was so nice to see you again after all this time. I hope you have a good holiday.

Yes, the new toy makes bird photography even more joyful. BSKs are rather skittish so the extra reach helps. Here's one more shot of the juvenile.
