Weather has been getting less favourable over the last few days. I would like to share a couple of Black-Shouldered Kite, BSK, (also known as Black-Winged Kite) shots taken recently. I hope the comparison shots of adult and juvenile will come in useful for fellow CSers.

Thanks neutrinol. Adult shot was taken in the morning and that of the juvenile in the evening. The Black Kite is usualy found in secondary forest, mangrove, scrub and open country in Northern, Eastern and Western Singapore.

- so nice to put faces to names! I am now in China and am having difficulty seeing images and posting them. I am not sure if this is a function of their censorship Anyway, with that beautiful new toy these BSK's must be great!Cheers, KC |

Yes, the new toy makes bird photography even more joyful. BSKs are rather skittish so the extra reach helps. Here's one more shot of the juvenile. ![]() |
