It seems that Nikon New Zealand have jumped the gun and prematurely leaked the announcement of the Nikon D5 on their Facebook page (which has now been removed).
The post says "Experience the next generation of photography with Nikon's new flagship model, D5. With a phenomenal new autofocus system, highest standards of expanded ISO sensitivity, turbocharged workflow and exceptional durability, the D5 is the most powerful camera in Nikon history."
We await further news from CES but the announcement is just a formality given that images and other information had been leaked a few weeks ago and Nikon has also traditionally announced a new flagship model in the year that Olympics are being held.
In addition, based on an earlier announcement on 18 November 2015, a new wireless transmitter (WT-6) and a new top-of-the-range flash (Speedlight 5000) are also being developed.
