If you've set your heart & sights on the E500, kindly note that the E500 kit should be available for retail from end of this week. Actual timing depends on dealer arrangements in putting this nice camera on their shelves.
Cheers, |

Hi OlyE-Folks,
I'm understand that stock of the E500 kit (14-45 lens only) are hitting store shelves today ! Those who've been anxiously waiting to get their hands on this very nicely featured camera can pop by at any of the major photo outlets from today to 'wake up from their dreams' :-) I also understand that the 35mm macro's availability will be towards year end or beginning of next. The macro intro is likely to be paired with the very versatile 18-180mm. Cheers, Last edited by chancy; 27th October 2005 at 04:02 PM. |

Hi MiaoYang10000,
First of the starting mark ! Congrats & welcome to the E-System family :-) Do share with us your first hand experiences. I'm also keen to hear of your reasons for selecting the E500 at such a nice price :-) Cheers, |

Well, it's the buyers' first day. I'd be as excited & shun CS for the while as I try to get a feel of the camera. Hope to hear of a report soon.
Cheers,

Wow! $1386 is a great price... hopefully 1GB CF card is included.
I dropped by Cathay Photo just now to check out the E-500 and it is already there! Pity that they were closing so I couldn't get my hands on it and ask for price. But it does look very handsome for a camera and looks so compact compared with the E-300 next to it in CP's display, about same size as the C8080Z's body and not much bigger than the C7070WZ. And the grip looks very generous to me. Looking good... hope to lay my hands on one soon. ![]() |

Anyone tried ordering from Amazon?
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...photo&v=glance if shipped vis Vpost USA it will cost only around S$1,600 including postage for the two lens kit. I'm considering it -- anyone has any experience? |
