Da*16-50...Been long not using this lens(bcos I've the Da15 at that moment)and it is my 3rd copies I own. The previous 2 copies have some problems on the 16mm and 50mm range(might be my problem). This 3rd copy is so far my best and will be keeping.

    Photos recently taken.

This picture is from the recent Dakota and Rochor Pentax April outing. Showcasing FA 35 f/2. Quite a versatile lens, with a frequently used focal length and its ability to be used at f/2.

Another from the same outing. The pictures demonstrates the span of reach from the A 15 f/3.5 lens.

K 135mm f2.5...I heard of this legendary lens but have no chance to own it. Finally with some luck, bought it last 2 weeks from BnS. I can say with no regrets with this purchase.

What it does seem to show is how old ultra wides such as this did it the 'right way', correcting barrel distortion optically as much as possible.
Hence the weight, cost of a lens like this.

Many modern UWA (esp the MILC ones) are just corrected minimally and then rest left to software correction.

Thanks pinholecam for the comment. There are many modern UWA lens which are at very attractive prices, just that you need to do a fair bit of work using the softwares to correct for the distortions.

Here are some pictures taken with yet another legacy lens, A 100mm f/ 2.8 Macro. To me , the pictures turn out right. Some masters here , are free to comment. Some claims that the DA 100mm f/ 2.8 Macro is sharper. I think the round blades frm the DA version probably gives a nicer bokeh.

These are tulips from the current Tuplipmania 2016 , end on 22 May 2016. So there is still plenty of time for those who are interested to view the tulips.

Last photo. I simply love the deep intense purplish red coming from this tulip.

Rounded aperture is a bonus only if there are OOF highlights.
They don't matter in the case where there are no OOF highlights as shown in the nice shots you posted.

Swirly bokeh of the Biotar lens design.
Very effective for head and shoulders shots.
