Hi,
I have one Epson scanner, but the glass seems to be molding after 1 year of use.. is there anyway to prevent tis in our environment if I get a new one ? ANyone has similar problem as me and would like to share ? thanx |

no one has this problem before on their Flatbed scanners ?

Yup I had encountered. That time mine not only mould. The glass plate dropped off...
So I opened up the scanner and clean away the mould. After that use those 3M tapes to stick back the glass. And it was back to new again. ![]() |

seems like mine can't be remove tat easily.. in tat case, is a factor when considering scanners

I have a cheap lexmark all-in-one that broke... so they did a 1:1 exchange. Obviously they won't give me a new one... but the one I got back has a bit of fogging from outgassing!
And yes, I have had some mould problems before on my old HP scanner. comes with the climate we live in I suppose. Even if mould isn't a problem... outgassing which will cause a bit of fogging will be. |
