Default what do you think of this?

I have an offer for the Raynox 1.8x teleconverter. it is a discontinued product and not much info can be found online. however I still manage to find one sample picture of the lens. I am no good in TC/optics, can tell me what do you think of the lens? should I get it if I find the price(~$50-60) to be acceptable?

here is the link.

Thank you.

after looking at the picture for awhile.. the vignetting effect seems pretty disturbing... does it happen to other TC as well? like C210 or TCON-14?

Hmmm... I haven't heard of this particular model, but Raynox teleconverter lenses tend to be of relatively mediocre quality, so I would be realistic with my expectations. Chances are that the image quality will not be terribly bad, but neither will they be extremely clear; users of other Raynox lenses tend to report noticeable light falloff and/or softening of the image especially near the edges. For the kind of price you're looking at, I guess it'll probably not be a bad investment, but don't expect too much either. It would be best if you can try it out for yourself before making your purchase decision, and then determine if the resultant image quality matches up to your personal taste.
