Default mcon40+cla1???

I've been using the Olympus c-3040z for about 7 months and my only complain would be the f.18 lens, its too bright tends to overexpose. For nightshots though not many can equal its low lighting capabilities though, i've compared it with the fuji 602 (etc)
and its less grainy and sharper.
Question is does anyone knows where to get mcon-40 + cla1 addon for this model in Singapore?

i always wished i had a bright lense and here we have a complain about it being too bright

being bright gives you very fast shutters so there will be lesser chance of a motion shot wat's bad with that?
as for CLA-1 it can be found at most camera shops.....

as for mcon-40 i'm not sure though cause i don't use macro lenses...

if it's too bright, then use a smaller aperture. you have various metering modes (aperture priority, manual, etc), make full use of them.

Dial in exposure compensation, or stop down your aperture and/or shutter speed, if your camera seems to be overexposing your photos. There is no reason for this to be a problem even with your camera's brighter maximum aperture size, because it should still be able to handle the typical range of lighting conditions encountered in most photographic situations. If this is a consistent problem, I would suggest getting it looked at by Olympus because it may be a problem with your camera's metering.

3040 is a fine camera just that on occasions, say your skin is yellow in colour, the shots would come out as white. And taking sky shots would be most frustrating as all the panoramic shots would turn out as if the skies are made of neon bulbs.
other that that, i have no grudge about it. Took it to the city or night safari, perfect night shots.
But right now the zoom becomes a handicap. thinking of a camera with a bigger zoom eying f-717 though, but I much prefer
the olympus e-10/20 series if not for the puny 4x zoom. will have to consider carefully, I'm a poor guy.

Sounds like ur 3040 metering system and white balance got a bit of problem leh.. why not report the problem and bring it down to the service center for a checkup.. since it is still under warranty..

How about getting the E10 at Harvey Normans? Pay by installment...
