Default E-500 user review at image resource is out

E-500 full review at image resource is out. The reviewer rated this better than the E-300.

Not sure abt E-300, but E-500 has a crop factor of 2...does it mean the CCD is smaller?

Actually Oly has no crop factor
they are using 4/3 tech CCD ...

Which mean the lenses are designed to let light fit into the CCD sensor just nice.

Correct me if i'm wrong

Apologies, i believe i used the wrong term here, i should say E-500 has a focal length multiply of 2, that includes E-300.

Yes, you are right, that's the focal length conversion factor, if you are comparing against 35mm format. We don't really get 'crop' factor if there isn't any older lenses to be mounted on. E-system is a new system, with all its lenses designed specifically for the 4/3 sensor.

There are pros and cons as to having smaller sensor vs bigger ones. I believe this has been discussed before in this very forum section. Just do a search to find out more.
